Day 1 - Auckland

Welcome to Auckland! Once you check into your hostel the day and evening is yours free to find out exactly why Auckland is so famous. 

Day 2 - Tamaki Maori Village / Rotorua

This morning you'll wave goodbye to Auckland and hello to Rotorua as you check into your hostel and explore the town. This evening you'll experience a Maori cultural show complete with a traditional buffet dinner set within the 200-year-old native Tawa Forest. 

Day 3 - Waitomo Caves and Hobbiton / Rotorua

Marvel at Mother Nature's light display as you glide silently through the starry wonderland of the Glowworm Grotto. Meander underground along the Waitomo River and gaze in silence at the myriad of glow-worm lights that make up the Glowworm Grotto. This afternoon you'll then explore the Hobbiton movie set. The charming countryside of The Shire, as described in JRR Tolkien's books, was painstakingly recreated on a working sheep and beef farm and now draws visitors from around the world. On your guided tour you'll see charming Hobbit holes, the Mill and the Party tree. Tonight is yours free to explore Rotorua. 

Day 4 - Wai O Tapu / 2.30pm Whitewater Rafting / Rotorua

Sculptured out of volcanic activity and thousands of years in the making, Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland is considered to be New Zealand’s most colourful and diverse geothermal sightseeing attraction. You are introduced to a uniquely different natural landscape – the key to what you see lies below the surface – one of the most extensive geothermal systems in New Zealand, extending over 18-sq. km.  Afterwards, you'll get your blood pumping with an afternoon white water rafting. Snake through steep native bush clad canyons and over 14 awesome rapids & 3 waterfalls including world-renowned 7-meter Tutea Falls, the Highest Commercially Rafted Waterfall in the World! Blended with touches of Maori culture, this trip offers it all, for both whitewater rafting enthusiasts and first timers!  

Day 5 - OGO Rotorua / Skydive / Taupo

This morning you'll be treated to a truly unique experience - the fastest, longest and steepest downhill ball rolling track in the world! The experience of rolling down a hill inside a giant inflatable OGO has been an iconic adventure experience since Andrew and David Akers (the inventors) developed their first operation in Rotorua back in 1997. Starting from 350m up the hill, visitors are rewarded with spectacular views over Lake Rotorua and Mokoia Island. You'll then jump on board your bus and head to Taupo where you'll check in for two nights. Later this afternoon you'll get the best views in town as you skydive from 14,000ft over Taupo soaking in the views of the iconic lake and surrounding mountains. 

Day 6 - Tongariro Alpine Crossing / Taupo

Today you'll experience one of New Zealand's most iconic walks. The famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing is a one day hike across Mt Tongariro. Take in the stunning sites of the Emerald Lakes, Blue Lake, Te Maari crater, the Red Crater.  It is a challenging 20km, 6-8 hour alpine hike.  You'll have return transport from the crossing and the night free to relax. 

Day 7 - Wellington

Today your off to NZ's capital - Wellington. Check into your hostel and then head out to explore the city as your prepare for your crossing tomorrow. 

Day 8 - Nelson

Jump on board your ferry as your transit between the north and south islands. You'll hop off in the pretty seaside town of Nelson where you'll check in for 2 nights. Wander the bay and scout out some of the local seafood this area is famous for. 

Day 9 - Abel Tasman / Nelson

This morning you're off to explore the stunning Abel Tasman National Park. Sit back, relax & cruise the National Park's coastline on board your sailing catamaran, before walking one of NZ's Great Walks. All in one day.  Enjoy the golden beaches, rugged natural coastline, islands and Split Apple Rock before strolling along sandy beaches and native bush. Tonight is your final night in Nelson so soak in the coastal views. 

Day 10 - Franz Josef

This morning you will check out of your hostel and jump on board your back to Franz Josef. This stunning alpine town lies in the shadow of one of New Zealand's most iconic glacier. Soak in the views and spend some time exploring before getting an early night - you've got a big day tomorrow! 

Day 11 - Glacier  / Franz Josef

Today you will embark on an incredible heli-hike experience on Franz Josef Glacier. After an exciting scenic flight, you land high up on the glacier and undertake a three hour guided tour amongst some of the most pristine and awe-inspiring glacier scenery available. Your guide chooses the route as you go and with an eye for the most spectacular ice formations, you'll soon be making your way through a wonderland of towering pinnacles and brilliantly blue ice. You'll enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and with plenty of photo opportunities and the chance to learn more about this magnificent glacier, this will almost certainly be your most memorable experience whilst in New Zealand. This Heli hike includes entry into the fabulous Glacier Hot Pools for after the tour before you head back to your hostel. 

Day 12 - Queenstown

This morning you will check out of your hostel and jump on board your bus to Queenstown. Check into your hostel and then drop your bags to head out and explore the city! 

Day 13 - Milford Sound / Queenstown

Today is an early one but trust us it's worth it. The early bird catches the worm and so can you with this Sunriser coach tour and be the first coach tour from Queenstown to arrive in Milford Sound and first back to Queenstown giving you a full night of fun on the town. Sit back, draw the curtains and have a snooze as you travel firstly to Te Anau approx 2hours after departure,  wake up and enjoy a refreshment break before making the rest of the journey through the Stunning Fiordland National Park to Milford Sound. We will treat you to uncrowded scenic photo stops and nature walks to experience the uniqueness and beauty of this stunning area as we make our way to Milford Sound. Relax on an uncrowded, modern catamaran while we spoil you with unlimited, close up viewing of waterfalls, wildlife and rainforest from our three viewing decks where you will also enjoy an included lunch. After the cruise, you will board the coach for your return to Queenstown. We allow time for a quick refreshment in Te Anau on the return, so sit back and relax for your journey home.  We will drop you off at the location we picked you up from around 6pm.

Day 14 - Bungy and Swing / JetBoat / Queenstown

We hope you got a good night's sleep because today is jam-packed with blood pumping adrenaline. This morning in an unforgettable Jet boat experience you’ll be transported from the sophisticated downtown area into the channels of two of New Zealand’s most scenic rivers. Across the pristine waters of Lake Wakatipu and through the tranquil beauty of the willow-lined Kawarau River, the Jet boat then speeds into the shallow, fast-moving braids of the Shotover River. Head back to the CBD where you'll have time to find lunch before challenging yourself to New Zealand's highest bungy jump! Welcome to the best thing you’ve ever done. Go full throttle with our 134m Bungy (the highest in New Zealand). Freefall for 8.5 seconds in a blitz of pure fear and adrenaline. Don’t say we didn’t warn you, because this is definitely going to put the cement in your coffee.

Day 15: Checkout 

This morning you'll check out of your hostel at 10am where your adventure will come to an end! 

Starts: Auckland 2 pm Checkin
