Days 1: Sydney - Spot 'X'
Your adventure kicks off in the city of Sydney, spend an afternoon among icons like the Sydney Harbour bridge and Opera house before boarding your overnight bus at 6:45pm to Spot X. You’ll know you’re on the East Coast when your bus rolls up to the Spot X Mojo Surf Camp, the next 2 nights are spent well off the beaten track at a secluded secret surf location.
Days 2 and 3: Spot 'X'
Today you’ll awake to the sound of the waves crashing right outside your door before joining your first Mojo surf lesson on some of Australia’s best waves. The next two days are all about sand, surf and action, nights will be spent relaxing by the camp fire as the sun sets, what could be better?
Day 4: Spot 'X' - Byron Bay
It’s an early start as you board your bus, bound for the beautiful town of Byron Bay. Arrive in Byron Bay at 8:55am and check into your hostel for 3 nights and set out to explore the bustling town, just bursting with culture! You might like to take on the iconic “lighthouse run”, spot whales on the horizon along the way and be rewarded with 360 degree views of the town once you reach the top!
Day 5: Nimbin Tour
Board a colourful bus and head for the hills of the Byron Bay hinterland, also known as Nimbin. Spend the morning exploring the streets of dreadlocked locals and village vibes before an afternoon of waterfall hopping. Travel from one cascading waterfall to another, diving into each to cool down before a relaxing drive back to Byron Bay.
Days 6 and 7: Byron Bay
The next two days are yours to discover all the excitement Byron Bay has to offer! You might like to kayak alongside dolphins or take on the waves with another surf lesson, Contact Us to make it happen!
Days 8 and 9: Byron Bay - Nimbin
Check into your Surfers Paradise accommodation for 2 nights on the “famous for fun” Gold Coast. Spend time in this beautiful city on the beach, where the skyline meets the ocean and the sun is always shining. You might like to visit Dreamworld to take on the 9 big thrill rides or jump into a powerful Surfers Paradise Jet Boat for some 360 degree spins and shallow water skimming, Ask Us How.
Days 10 and 11: Byron Bay - Brisbane
Board your 8:55am bus to the vibrant city of Brisbane for 2 days and 2 nights trekking through botanic gardens, swimming in man made city beaches and experiencing Queensland’s capital city. Arrive at Brisbane Roma Street Transit Centre at 11:20am with plenty of time to board the free City Cat ferry and cruise the iconic Brisbane River. You might even like to head out to Moreton Island for a day of sandboarding, snorkelling, riding Quad Bikes and more. Ask Us How!
Days 12: Brisbane - Noosa
Today, it’s on to the beautiful coastal town of Noosa. Depart Brisbane at 2pm and arrive Noosa around 4:20pm before checking into your hostel for 2 nights and head down to spend your afternoon on one of Australia’s most beautiful beaches. Take a hike through the National Park in search of spectacular wildlife and awesome views!
Day 13: Noosa Everglades
Gear up for an incredible adventure as you head with your tour group to the start point of the Noosa Everglades. The day will begin with a cruise down the magnificent lakes and wetlands before jumping into your canoe to paddle through the stunning “River of Mirrors”. You’ll be amazed by the smooth, glassy surface on the river water!
Day 14: Noosa - Rainbow Beach
Today, it’s on to the cruisy town of Rainbow Beach, gateway to Fraser Island! Leave Noosa around 4:20pm and arrive in laid back Rainbow Beach 7pm. Check into your hostel for 2 nights and set out on a free guided walk tour to Carlo Sandblow, this magnificent sand dune overlooks the coloured sands making sunset an incredible time of day. Spot migrating whales if you’re very lucky as well as dolphins at Tin Can Bay, this is also a great time to meet some of your fellow Fraser Island adventurers.
Day 15: Rainbow Beach
Today you’ll join a tour to 4WD along the beach, before kayaking alongside frolicking dolphins beyond the waves and along the coast line of Rainbow Beach. You may even have the chance to watch the sun rise over the horizon, amazing! In the afternoon, join a quick safety briefing at the hostel with your Fraser Island tour group in preparation for the adventure ahead.
Days 16, 17 and 18: Fraser Island 4x4 Tour
Today you will set out on an unforgettable trip of a lifetime on magical Fraser Island. Dingo’s 4x4 tag along tour is world renowned and the ultimate way to discover Fraser Island. The next 3 days are spent in a tour group of young adventurous backpackers driving 4x4’s along the beach to swim through crystal clear Lake McKenzie, dive into the Champagne Pools float down Eli Creek. Hike Indian Head to take in 360 degree views of the island, stop off at world renowned icons like Maheno Shipwreck and trek through the tranquil, ancient rainforests. Nights will be spent with your group telling tales beneath the stars in your own private campsite, just metres from the beach. What better way to experience with gem of a location? Return to Rainbow Beach via ferry late on day 17 for a farewell gathering and one more night.
Day 19: Rainbow Beach - 1770
Farewell Rainbow Beach and your Fraser Island adventure to head on to the dreamy, coastal Town of 1770, home to some awesome wave breaks, beautiful beaches and hiking tracks. Board your overnight bus at 7pm from the front of your hostel and arrive in 1770 at 12:10am where your shuttle will take you directly to your hostel. Day 20: 1770
After a morning on the beach, you’ll gather in your Scooteroo tour group to get decked out in leather, fake tattoo’s and bandanas for 3 hours of riding Chopper Motorbike’s. Feel like a real life bikie as you ride with your gang down the open roads of Agnes Waters. These machines are very easy to ride. If you can ride a bike you can ride with Scooteroo!
Day 21: 1770 - Airlie Beach
Spend the day farewelling Town of 1770 before boarding your overnight bus at 12:10am to Airlie Beach.
Day 22: Airlie Beach
Arrive bright and early at 9:30am and check into your hostel for 1 night and head down for a refreshing dip in the town lagoon. Afterwards set out to explore the towns great walking tracks and bustling bars. You may even want to take a mini 4x4 for an afternoon spin through a muddy obstacle course in a group of adventurous travellers, Ask Us How!
Days 23, 24 and 25: Whitsunday Sailing
Feel a rush of excitement as you board Wings 2, your luxury catamaran and home for the next 2 days of snorkelling exploring and sailing! Cruise across crystal clear waters to glistening white beaches and stunning coral reefs. There will be stops at beautiful Whitehaven Beach and plenty of time to explore the stunning rainforests, walking trails and beach stretches that make up this world class destination! Return after midday on day 25 and check into your hostel for a final night in Airlie Beach.
Days 26 and 27: Airlie Beach - magnetic Island
Depart Airlie Beach at 9:30am as you head north to the amazing Magnetic Island, via Townsville. Your bus will drop you off outside the ferry terminal around 1:50pm where you will board your ferry to Magnetic Island. A short cruise will bring you to shores lined with palm trees on a dreamy island, check into your beach front hostel for 2 nights and enjoy your free welcome cocktail at the Island Bar. Grab your free hire snorkel gear and discover the stunning coral reefs right off the shore or set out on one of the many awesome island hiking tracks.
Day 28: Magnetic Island - Mission Beach
Check out of your Magnetic Island accommodation and board your ferry back to Townsville, where you will depart for Mission Beach on a 1:50pm bus. Arrive Mission Beach 5:20pm and check into your hostel for 3 nights and set out to discover this charming town teeming with incredible Australian wildlife, discover it all with a hike through the tropical rainforest.
Day 29: Tully River Rafting
Today you will be picked up bright and early for an action packed day of White Water Rafting on the raging Tully River! With guaranteed water levels all year round, we promise an epic day of splashes, waterfall drops and adventure in huge rapids before a delicious BBQ lunch beside the river.
Day 30: 14,000 ft Skydive
The day has finally arrived! Today you will jump out of a plane from 14,000ft over spectacular views of the Queensland coastline! Freefall for up to 60 seconds, then float high above the ocean before landing right on the beach next to palm trees and shorelines! We promise an unforgettable experience of a lifetime which you’ll be buzzing about for days after!
Day 31: Mission Beach - Cairns
Today it’s back en route to Cairns, gateway to world heritage sites, The Great Barrier Reef and ancient Daintree Rainforest. Depart Mission Beach at 5:20pm and arrive in sunny Cairns at 7:30pm. Check into your central hostel for 3 nights and set out to explore the town full of endless activities. Embark on a hike along the Barron Falls wilderness track or if you’re feeling very adventurous Ask Us How you can add a 50 metre bungy jump to your bucket list!
Day 32: Great Barrier Reef Day Trip
Make your way to the Cairns marina to depart for a day of snorkelling the amazing Great Barrier Reef! Today you will cruise on luxury catamaran Ocean Freedom to Upolu Cay. You’ll spend the day snorkelling over stunning coral reefs alongside an abundance of incredible fishes, turtles and marine life. Hop aboard a glass bottom boat tour before spending the afternoon sun lounging on a private island! There will be seafood smorgasbords for lunch, unlimited snorkelling and world class scuba diving opportunities!
Day 33: Cape Tribulation Day Trip
You will be collected from your accommodation bright and early to make your way into the oldest living rainforest in the world! Meet one of the Indigenous owners of the Mossman Gorge and participate in a “Welcome to my Country” and Smoking ceremony. Dive into the refreshing waters of Mossman Gorge before continuing on to Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the sea. Enjoy many guided rainforest hikes and meet an abundance of Australian wildlife!
Today you will check out of your Cairns hostel at 10am to look back on an incredible adventure of a lifetime, but it isn’t over yet! Farewell your East Coast trip than with a guided bike ride along Cairns Warf and down the esplanade. Visit butterflies and learn about the teachings of aboriginal bushtucker in the botanic gardens. Your trip ends at Marlin Marina with some locally made gelato and unforgettable lifelong memories.
