5-Day Open Water Course - 2 days of pool and theory & 3 days 2-night liveaboard trip
Pro Dive Cairns is recognized worldwide as a leader in all aspects of scuba diving education. We offer students a professional and safe learning environment and combine it with spectacular dive locations on the Great Barrier Reef. Our custom-built training centre is located in Cairns and there is no better place in the world to learn to dive! Water temperatures range from 22°C to 30°C allowing comfortable diving all year round. The PADI 5-day learn to dive course is broken down into two components:
1) 2 days of pool and classroom training
2) 3-day 2-night liveaboard trip to the outer Great Barrier Reef
You will spend your first two days at our training centre where you will learn the academics of scuba diving & then in the pool where you put these basics into practice. At the end of day 2 you are invited to attend “Reef Teach” which is a marine biology presentation where you will learn about the Great Barrier Reef (at additional cost)
Guests: 32 passengers on the liveaboard. Maximum 8 students per dive instructor
What's Included: 9 Dives, PADI Open Water Certificate, PADI Open Water Manual (various languages), 2 passport photos, accommodation transfers, all dive equipment, log book, dive insurance, all accommodation (twin share), and meals while on board.
Days 3, 4, and 5 are spent onboard one of our vessels out on the Great Barrier Reef. Whilst on the reef you take part in your 4 training/qualifying dives, which completes your PADI Open Water certification. After this, you are able to enjoy 5 more dives as a recreational diver, one of which is a night dive guided by your instructor. These dives on the Great Barrier Reef will be truly spectacular and the highlight of your course. On your return to Cairns, passengers and crew get together in a local restaurant to celebrate the conclusion of your trip.
What to Bring: 2 towels, swimmers, toiletries, comfortable clothing, warm jacket or jumper for cooler evenings.

English Courses Commence Every day except Sunday at 8.30 am.
3-day/2-night liveaboard departs: Every day except Tue at 7.00 am
3 day/2-night liveaboard returns: At 4.00 pm
Note: Accommodation transfers are included (Cairns city to Northern Beaches as far as Palm Cove)
MEDICAL INFORMATION: Some medical conditions may prevent you from diving. All students must read the 'Entry Level Student Diver Medical Declaration Form'. You will be required to obtain a dive medical certificate if you answer “yes” to any of the questions on the medical declaration - The dive medical must be completed PRIOR to starting the course and must be valid within 90 days of commencing the course.
