Itinerary

Day 1 : Day 1

The day is finally here, the first day of your awesome K'gari (Fraser Island) adventure We'll depart from Nomads Noosa Backpackers nice & early at 6.30am. After we get your luggage into storage, you'll be heading towards Rainbow Beach where you'll be arriving after a 1.5-2hr drive. We stop here to collect, food and the 4WD's. (If you are being picked up in Rainbow Beach, we will collect you from the BP Petrol station at 9.15am. Once the vehicle orientation is done, its a short drive to the ferry and 10 minutes later you are on K'gari, landing at Hook Point on the Southern tip of K'gari. Enjoy the day exploring the Island before heading back to the campsite for a cold refreshing shower before you have a few cold ones while cooking dinner and sitting around the camp fire.

Day 2 : Day 2

Your second day means another early start so you get to make the most of your time on the island! After breakfast (continental style breakfast - cereal, toasts, spread, tea & coffee), we continue your K'gari adventure. Back to the same camp site in the afternoon for another fun night around the fire with your new friends.

Day 3 : Day 3

Then after breakfast and once you have cleaned out your tents and taken all your personal belongings with you, its the final day of exploring .The tour head home anytime around 12noon (subject to tides and island conditions). A brief stop at Rainbow Beach before driving back to Nomads Noosa arriving anytime between 3.00 - 7.00pm. Hand in your linen packs, fill out a feedback form and then head to your room if you have booked accommodation with your tour. We suggest staying overnight in Noosa as we cannot guarantee you will be back in time to catch you plane or bus, plus we don't want you to miss out on the entertainment we have at KB's bar. An amazing end to an amazing trip! If you are leaving the tour in Rainbow we can drop you in town on the way out to Noosa. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK ANY OUTBOUND TRAVEL as we cannot guarantee a return time.

Optional extra to the package can include 2 nights in a 16 share mixed en-suite dorm at Nomads Noosa which provides the opportunity to get to know the rest of your tour group departure. If this is not for you, there are options to upgrade to a smaller or private room (subject to availability).

Note for Agents

Return trip - Guests are driven back to Nomads Noosa at the end of the trip.
Tour aims to be back in Rainbow between 12noon - 2pm and in Noosa between 3.00 pm - 6.00 pm. Can be earlier or later depending on traffic, cars, beach conditions / tides / delays at ferry etc. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK ANY OUTBOUND TRAVEL as we cannot guarantee a return time. If you are leaving by bus from Rainbow we suggest the latest departure time (late afternoon/early evening).
