Day 1: Melbourne Sunrise Hot Air Ballooning
The entire experience lasts 3-4 hours in total so usually completed between 8-10 am depending on the time of year. The night before your flight at 6 pm: Check the flight information (weather update and meeting time) by downloading our mobile app. 1.5 hours before sunrise (time confirmed the night before): Meet pilots and crew at the designated time and venue; Global Ballooning Australia drives all passengers to the launch site. We meet at Pullman Melbourne at the Park Hotel (meet in the foyer). Launch: Passengers assist with the setup/ inflation of the balloon. Sunrise: Flight for approximately 1 hour Land: The pilot will land the balloon; passengers can assist in packing up the balloon. Breakfast: All passengers are driven back to the meeting point (Pullman Hotel) which is where breakfast is held (if included in your booking)

Departs an hour before sunrise (approximately 4:00-4.30 am in summer, 5:00-5.30 am in autumn & spring and 6:00-6.30 am in winter.

What to bring
- Closed-toe shoes are compulsory
- DO NOT WEAR high-heeled shoes, thongs/flip flops or open-toe shoes.
- Your feet can get wet and cold in the early morning dew, bring a change of socks
- Wear clothes for hiking, sturdy shoes, warm socks and a cap as the burners radiate heat.
- It is an active morning outdoors, so wear clothes that can get stained or dirty
- Do not bring any bags as these will not be allowed on the balloon
- We meet before sunrise so depending on the time of year and weather, it can be extremely cold
- Wear layered clothing that can be removed as the day warms up
- Don't forget to bring your camera but this is carried at your own risk
