Lake McKenzie

Lake McKenzie (Boorangoora) on K’gari is one of the island’s most recognisable natural features, known as a perched lake because it holds only rainwater filtered through pure silica sand. This creates its bright blue water and soft white shoreline, making it a popular spot for swimming and photography.
