Premium boats and longer liveaboard diving itineraries range from $600 to $900+. Yes, especially June to September when the best boats fill up weeks ahead. Booking 2 to 4 weeks in advance is recommended in peak season. Outside of peak, 1 to 2 weeks is usually enough. Though last-minute spots do come up. If the Whitsundays is a fixed part of your itinerary, book early and don’t risk it.

You can get to the Whitsundays by flying into Proserpine Airport on the mainland (also called Whitsunday Coast Airport) or Hamilton Island Airport on Hamilton Island. You can book tours and transport from both Airlie Beach on the mainland and Hamilton Island!
