Sea lions at Seal Bay

Seal Bay on Kangaroo Island is home to the world’s third-largest colony of Australian sea lions, an endangered species found only in Australia. The area provides a rare chance to observe these animals in their natural coastal environment through a scenic boardwalk and optional guided tours. Seal Bay protects an estimated 800 individuals, representing about five percent of the global population, according to the National Parks and Wildlife Service South Australia.
