This is a truly personal experience of Aboriginal Cultural, Traditional Fishing, The Daintree Rainforest & the Daintree River Cruise.
Cultural Fishing Tour
After our enjoyable drive, our first tour is with the local indigenous tribe on a coastal beach walk experience, you will be introduced to the traditional fishing activity of spear throwing and handling. Practice your aim and shoot before embarking on a stroll (spear in hand) along the beach, through the mangroves and mudflats observing cultural medicine and food plants, whilst spotting the array of sea life beneath the water and hiding between the mangroves ! Enjoy a bite to eat of the seafood caught on tour & some homemade Damper, butter and golden syrup on the beach at the end of the tour.
Lunch
Lunch is at one of the north's famous bakery cafes 'Temptations', pick from a range of delicious burgers and sandwiches to enjoy with a soft-drink before having walk around the beautiful town of Mossman.
Solar Whisper Daintree River Cruise
After lunch, we continue our drive 30 mins north to the Daintree Rainforest (the oldest rainforest in the world), where we jump aboard ‘Solar Whisper’ the only zero emission boat in the Daintree.
We glide quietly up to crocodiles and other wildlife without scaring them or hurting their habitat, the boat is fitted with the unique “Croc Cam” to help show well camouflaged crocodiles and wildlife, this beautiful experience practices true Eco Tourism.
